Bob Jones University, a Christian Liberal Arts University located in Greenville SC, was established in 1927. The student body of approximately 3000 can select from a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs that include accounting, engineering, business administration. BJU is best known for their health science program which boasts a 80% medical school acceptance rate, as opposed to the national average of 41%, as well as their engineering program, where the pass rate on the National Engineering Exam is 90% or greater. The Challenge:

The BJU mailroom is a full service reseller of various shipping services to staff, students, and the town. The mailroom provides campus shipping, international and domestic services, distribution of textbooks and publications, postal services, and packing services.

The Solution:

BJU reached out to a solutions expert who analyzed their operations and recommended a ConnectShip solution to provide more options and automation. BJU installed an iShip CES kiosk in their lobby to allow customers to pre-process packages before bringing them to the counter. The mailroom then uses PSS to quickly complete the shipping process.

The Results:

BJU found the ConnectShip solution to be simpler and easier to use than the previous 3rd party system. The CES Kiosk improved customer service and efficiency by speeding up counter sales. Tracking and visibility tools allow them to easily locate shipments.
