With Saint Nick steadily approaching, gift givers everywhere are checking to ensure their online purchases will arrive on time. If you find yourself included in this group, this article is your one-stop shop. Last Minute Larry, Santa's Lead Last Minute Elf, has compiled a list of the remaining shipping options to get your gift there on time without having to involve the jolly old guy himself.

Shipments should be sent by the dates below to ensure delivery by the following major carriers before Dec. 25.



USPS holiday deadlines:


  • Dec. 23: Last day for Priority Mail Express Service

FedEx holiday deadlines:


  • Dec. 22: Last day to ship via FedEx 2Day and FedEx 2Day A.M.

  • Dec. 23: Last day to ship via FedEx Standard Overnight, FedEx Priority Overnight, and FedEx First Overnight

  • Dec. 24: Last day to ship via FedEx Same Day

UPS recommended ship by dates:

*This year, due to the pandemic, UPS suspended its Service Guarantee for all shipments. However, UPS recommends that you send your packages by the following dates to have the best chance of them arriving on time.



  • Dec. 22: Last day to ship UPS 2nd Day Air packages for delivery Thursday, Dec. 24

  • Dec. 23: Last day to ship UPS Next Day Air for delivery Thursday, Dec. 24

Last Minute Lary
Lead Last Minute Elf ~ Santa's Workshop
 Lary was born into Santa's holiday workshop in The North Pole many moons ago. His attention to detail is impeccable but as he ages (he's now 483) his speed to production is getting to be a bit on the lengthy side - hence the name "Last Minute Lary". Despite not being the speediest elf in the shop, Lary knows his stuff and helps Santa get everything delivered on time, year after year.
