ConnectShip Cares is more than just a section in our quarterly newsletter. ConnectShip is fortunate enough to be made up of individuals who believe in
working to improve our communities and the lives of those around us. In 2019 we rolled up our sleeves and opened our hearts to volunteer in numerous capacities.
Organizations we chose to work with this year included Junior Achievement (a national program that aims to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy),
Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma,
the Tulsa Area United Way, and Domestic Violence Intervention Services of Tulsa (DVIS). We are grateful for such meaningful organizations in our area that allow
us to step in and help out when we are able.
We are currently collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots program. Toys for Tots was founded in 1947 by the United States Marine Corps Reserve to distribute toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. We are one week into our collection event and our box is already overflowing with toys!
